[TW: references to SA, r*pe, kidnap, police brutality]
Surviving kidnapping by criminals. Taking on police killings after her husband was murdered. Fighting sexual harassment at work. Beth Mukami – from the Dandora slum in Nairobi, Kenya – has seen it all. Today she’s a human rights defender, a feminist, activist and a “voice of the voiceless”. She and others started the Dandora Community Justice Centre which is on the front-line of the fight against inequality. Listen to Winnie talking to Beth about her story and her fight against inequality.
